Sorenson Moving & Storage

The FMCSA's distance and geography breakdown relies on carriers' self-reported data from their MCS-150 forms, leading some companies, especially urban movers with interstate authority, to report all drivers as out-of-state and long-distance by default. Thus, even local-centric companies can appear as having no intrastate or short-haul drivers, simply because they classify drivers broadly rather than by precise operational patterns. Users should treat these FMCSA categories as general indicators of interstate capability rather than exact reflections of daily operations.
